DIY PENNY VASE




How to make a penny vase


Today I would like to share with you a fun way to decorate a plain vase.
I saw this idea on another blog and really like the idea. I decided to try and decorate an old small vase that was not in use till now.
All you need for this project is:
·         A vase of any size
·         A bunch of pennies
·         Hot glue gun (or glue E6000)

In the original blog post , where I got this DIY idea, they painted the vase in black. My vase is gold with a nice metallic finish and I decided not to paint it in black.

Make sure you have enough pennies. I recommend that you clean them. You can soak them in Coke or scrub them using baking soda. This will make them nice and shiny.

Now you can glue the pennies. Make sure that your glue gun gets really hot. If you do not feel comfortable using a hot glue gun , you can use E6000 glue. It has a sticky and rubbery texture and dries out relatively quickly.
I decided to use my glue gun. You can choose what direction and what side to glue the pennies. Just start glueing them row after row. It will look beautiful after all !
