Fabric Marker Shirt
I would like to show you a shirt I decorated using
fabric markers.
I saw a similar white shirt on ASOS.com, but it was a
crop top,so I decided to make one for myself. It is nothing special, just a fun
T-shirt anyone can make. You can write anything on it.
It is easy to make, you just have to wait 24 hours for
the fabric paint to dry.
Here is what you need:
- A plain white short T-shirt
- Black and Red fabric markers
- Some pins
- A piece of cardboard
I wrote on the front side of the shirt, so I
put a piece of cardboard between the front and bottom of the shirt, so the
paint doesn’t transfer to the back of the shirt and mess it up.
You can secure the T-shirt to the cardboard using pins.
Once you start drawing , you will notice that the fabric is moving a lot. Draw
slowly, patiently and carefully. Repeat drawing until achieve the desired
color. I used the “Fabric Matte” Chisel tip fabric markers. Their versatile tip
is great for fine and broad strokes.
Wait for at least 24 hours for the dye to
set.
You can see pictures from the process below:
This is the original shirt, which I got the idea from:
Thanks for viewing, and remember: You can draw anything you want with fabric markers.
