DIY Cut Out Shirt Tutorial

DIY Cut Out  Shirt

Today I’ll be sharing a very easy and little time consuming Do It Yourself cut out shirt tutorial. I got inspired by an old shirt with cut out sleeves I’ve had for a while.  I purchased it from Great Glam more than 3 years ago. I decided I can make another one in a different color.

Here is what you need:

  • I am using a long sleeve white basic shirt.

  • A pencil, a ruler and a pair of scissors.

Let’s get started:

  • Flip the shirt inside out.

  • Lay shirt flat. I secured the sleeves with some pins, so it is easier to do the cuts.

  • Using a ruler mark the lines , where you’ll do the cuts. My cuts are 1.5’’ apart. You can make them 1’’ or 2’’ apart and they’ll still look good.

  • The depth of my cuts is 3’’-3.5’’.

  • Start cutting.

  • Once done cutting, remove pins and flip the shirt back.

There you go! You got your cut out shirt in 15 minutes.

This is the old shirt I purchased on GreatGlam

This is my new shirt I cut myself :)

Here are some pictures of the process I took to show you:

Thanks for looking and have FUN !
