Here is a picture of a french manicure I did on my nails last summer. This manicure is not appropriate for an everyday look, but it is great if you want to have some fun. It is easy to do and doesn't take very long time :)
I used gel nail polish (Gelish soak-off gel polish), because I personally like it better than regular polish. You can use any nail polish you would like.
Here is what you need:
- Gelish Base Coat-or any regular nail polish base coat
- Gelish-Arctic Freeze (white polish) or any white nail polish to draw the french manicure tips
- Gelish-Simple Sheer (it is almost clear gel polish with a tint of pink)-or a regular nail polish you would like to use over your french tips
- Gelish -Water Field (clear gel polish with small pieces of glitter) or a regular polish with glitter
- Gelish -Top it Off (top goat) ot any top coat you use for your manicure
- False nail glue
- Fimo Fruit slices
Directions:
- Appply base coat , draw french manicure tips and apply a coat of cleat pink polish. make sure that you cure the gel polish between each coat for the time directed, if you decide to use it.
- Apply some glue on your nails and wait for 10 seconds until it gets tacky, then place the fruits on your nail. Press them down gently for a few seconds so they don't stick up so much
- Then apply your glitter polish. Cure the polish if you are using gel.
- Apply top coat Cure if it is gel and remove the sticky residue that gel polishes leave with alcohol.
You are done! Not so difficult and you can choose what fruits to use and how many slices to place on each nail. I only used one on each nail, but I've seen other creative people placing 3-4 fruit slices. It is your choice :)
I got my Fruit (fimo) slices on Amazon.
Try this mani if you like it !
Have FUN :)
Cute. They look natural and not gel. Gel manicure are great options if you want to wear a smooth and strong nail for a long time, without worrying about chipped nail polish. This will also save you a lot of trip to salons later on. Beulah May @ BernardsSalonAndSpa.com
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking! Yes I agree, Gelish gel polishes usually look very natural, although they got a little thicker with the fruit slices :) I'll look at your website
