I had never tried nail stencils before, so today I'm really excited to share with you a manicure I created using Chevron (zig zag) vinyl nail stencils from Popculture Cosmetics.
I recently read a post on Michelle's blog - Manic Talons, where she shared her review on some simple stripe vinyls and I really liked her design and decided to order the chevron nail vinyls from them.
As probably some of you know, I'm not a huge fan of nail stencils and nail tape, I just rarely use them, but I like this ones.
They have various vinyl deigns and some blended and hand poured nail polishes, that look really good. (I might order some more stuff soon).
Here is my design and how I created it:
I have 3 coats of Ink Soak-Off Gel Polish SCARLET EMPRESS on all my nails.
On the index finger I placed a 2 mm rectangular silver metal stud. On the middle finger I filled half of the nail with Gelish-Midnight Caller and a row of 2 mm rectangular metal studs. On the ring finger I used the chevron vinyl stencils from Popculture Cosmetics. I removed the sticky layer, placed 3 of them around 2-3 mm apart, made sure they stuck well to the nail and applied 2 coats of Midnight Caller. (Cured in between each coat). Then I removed the stencils. I also applied some loose silver and purple glitter and then top coat on the ring finger.
The design on the little finger is similar to the one on the middle, without the extra silver color.
The cute metal studs I got on Etsy. I usually glue them over gel polish using some gel polish base coat, curing it and then I add top coat and curing it.
