Gelish Ombre Manicure

I've been trying to create a nice looking gel polish gradient design for a while. Every time I tried, I did not like the way it looked. It either turned too light or too blended out and you couldn't really tell it was an ombre effect.
Last week I watched an amazing tutorial on Shannon Underwoods's  Youtube channel on how to create ombre nail design using the colors from Gelish's Summer 2014 Gelish Colors Of Paradise.
She is an excellent nail artist and Harmony Gelish educator, and recently started making youtube videos on gel nail designs, so you should check out her channel if interested. I'll link the Gradient Nail Art Video down bellow.
I recreated the designs on swatch sticks and then decided to try it on my nails. I really like the way it looked.

On my nails I applied base, then a coat of Gelish Arctic Freeze - (White) and after that I used a flat brush and colors: Gelish Tahiti Hottie, Gelish Pacific Sunset and Gelish Rockin' The Reef to create the vertical gradient. (Just watch the video and you'll see how easy it is). After curing the design I applied a coat of Gelish Waterfield and top coat.

This is the design on my nails:
