I got Jenna Hipp's What's Hot Now The New Brights Mini Nail Polish Collection from Costco a couple weeks ago. There were 2 different sets of colors released exclusively for Costco, one with bright colors and another one with more neutral ones (called the new moderns). They were on sale for $7.99 and I believe the regular price is $9.99 for a set of 8 mini nail polishes, which is pretty good!
I believe I've seen other colors at Costco and online a while ago, but I never thought of getting them, since I'm a little obsessed with gel polish and I have lots of unused nail polish.
Jenna Hipp is known as "Celebrity Green Nail Stylist". She's had problems with unwanted side effects from nail polishes, that's why she decided to create her own line of polishes without the "3 free". She created a pretty successful line of polishes.
This is the first time I'm trying her line and I'm impressed with the formula, pigmentation, brush and actually the selection of colors. I got a pack of 8 mini polishes and I'll show you swatches of all of them (1 nail swatches, but I just had no time to to the whole hand). The application was very easy, and even the light yellow color is opaque in 2 coats. I did my toe nails with (the bright pink one) and there are no chips after 2 weeks.
The nail polishes contain :
No Dibutyl phthalate
No Formaldehyde resin
No Formaldehyde
No Toluene
No Camphor
I also wanted to mention that I participated in a charity event for a 2 year old girl that has leukemia, and I did manicures for little girls using these nail polishes. It turned out great since I did not want to use regular polish on kids. This way I helped raise funds for this little girl's hospital bills.
Back to my swatches, here are the colors:
Jenna Hipp Just one Bite is a beautiful creme red with a tint of orange. The perfect summer red nail color. I used 2 coats.
Jenna Hipp Jenna and The Giant Peach is a light cream peach color. I used 3 coats of it for my swatch.
Jenna Hipp Say Yellow to my little friend is a pale cream yellow. Not too pale I would say, but not bright either. I used 3 coats for my swatch, since it was on the sheer side.
Jenna Hipp I Cast a Spell on Blue is a gorgeous dark, opaque navy blue. It is opaque with one coat, but I applied 2 for the swatch. Easy to apply and very shiny.
Jenna Hipp I Surf With The Boys is a creme teal blue color, great for the beach. I used 3 coats.
Jenna Hipp We Are Mint To Be is a bright creme mint. I used 3 coats and I love this color, it will be great for nail art.
Jenna Hipp Ain't Life Grape is a very interesting color and I love it! It is a summery bright pinky purple and I applied it in 3 coats.
Jenna Hipp Daft Pink is my favorite color from the collection. It is a warm medium pink, good for any time of the year.
