Hi everyone!
I'm starting to experiment with nail art ideas using colors from Gelish's new Colors Of Paradise Collection.
I'm in love with the bright purple color called Tahiti Hottie, so I prepared three easy nail designs with it. This color is great for any time of the year, but especially for summer!
Manicure #1:
I applied Tahiti Hottie on all my nails, except the ring finger. On the ring finger I applied a coat of Gelish Waterfield and cured it. Then I applied random dots with a large and small sized dotting tool, using all other colors from the collection- Gelish Lime All The Time, Mali Blu-Me away, Rockin' The Reef, Tahiti Hottie, Rub Me The Sarong Way and Pacific Sunset. Then I cured the dots, applied top coat and cured the top. The design is nothing new- it is pretty easy, but the effect is pretty colorful and eye catching.
Manicure #2:
For this design I tried a new to me gel polish marbling technique, which turned out pretty cool.
(For another gel polish marbling technique please click here).
On all my nails except I have Gelish Tahiti Hottie. On my ring finger I applied a coat of Gelish Arctic Freeze and cured it. Then I applied a second coat of Arctic Freeze (which I did not cure) and with a small dotting tool I applied horizontal rows of dots using all colors from Colors Of Paradise Collection. From top to bottom the colors are: Rockin' the Reef (coral), Pacific Sunset (pink), Lime All The Time (neon lime color), Rub Me The Sarong Way (teal) and Tahiti Hottie (purple). With a small detail brush I dragged the colors from inside to outside, making sure that I don't mix them together, but just blend each color with the uncured white (for this purpose clean the brush after marbling each color). Then I cured the design and here is what it looked like:
After that I decided to draw some zebra stripes using a thin striping brush and black acrylic paint. After the paint dried, I applied top coat and cured it. Here is the finished design:
Manicure #3:
For this manicure I have Gelish Arctic Freeze on my ring finger and Gelish Tahiti Hottie on the rest of my nails. For this design I used a striping brush and drew some stripes in different colors over the white color on the ring finger. For the first layer of stripes I used Gelish - Lime All The Time, Tahiti Hottie and Mali Blu-Me Away and I cured the lines, then for the second layer of stripes, going the opposite direction I used Gelish - Rockin' The Reef, Rub Me The Sarong Way and Pacific Sunset and I cured it. After than I applied top coat and cured it. I like that the color stripes, applied over the white polish look more vibrant.
