Today I am doing a review of Essie Resort Fling Collection 2014
. To be honest, when I first saw the colors , they did not interest me at all, but I decided to get them. I got a set of Essie Mini.
I decided to swatch them and was surprised how much I liked them. The collection includes four colors, which are not as eye catching as previous Resort collections, but the colors are still pretty nice. The formula of 3 out of four is pretty good, the only one that is too thin to me is the light coral shade. The dark blue one has the best formula. Applied in only one coat is has great coverage.
Here are the colors:
I'll start with the beigy-sand color, called Cocktails & Coconuts
. It is easy to apply, not streaky and it also has a little shimmer in it.
The second one is a light orange-coral shade, called Resort Fling
. It has a very thin formula and you definitely need 3 coats. It has jelly finish and no shimmer. The color is a very light coral, not my favorite!
Next is a very light blue called Find Me an Oasis
. It is a nice light blue jelly finish color. It looks opaque applied in two coats. Perfect summer color!
The last one is my favorite color, although it is not a typical summer color. The name of this color is Under the Twilight
. It is an interesting dark blue and applies completely opaque in only one coat. Of course I applied it in two coats.
