COCONUT OIL

I would like to share an idea for a good conditioning treatment for your hair using Coconut oil.

Coconut oil is really popular lately. I know people use it for cooking, but I heard of another use of it-as a hair conditioner and I decided to give it a try.
Before I tell you how I do this , I wanted to mention that I guarantee this is good for dry, chemically treated, damaged hair. I used to have blonde hair with highlights, which was pretty damaged, that's what made me research different home remedies and ways to try to get my hair in good condition. If you have nice healthy or oily hair you probably do not need this conditioning treatment. But you can still try it.

So here is how I did it: (I'm pretty sure you can do it in a different way)
I washed my hair and tried to drain as much water out of it as I could. Since the Coconut oil comes hard in a jar I warmed it up before applying it to the hair. I warmed up some water , put it in a bowl and put the Coconut oil jar in the hot water for 5 minutes. Then I applied it to my hair from roots to ends.I pinned up my hair with some bobby pins. Then I put a shower cap on and kept it on for 30 minutes. The shower cap will keep the heat from your scalp stay in , so it opens the cuticles and the oil can deeply condition your hair.
Then I washed my hair again with shampoo and applied conditioner.
My hair felt soft and smooth, not oily.

Here is what the Coconut oil I got looks like:

Thanks for visiting, have a great day!
